 History of Brach Machine

After receiving the David Laine Scholarship from The American Die Casting Institute in 1978, Bill Brach spent the next seven years working as a Process Engineer and tool designer at several custom die casting shops in Batavia, NY.

In 1985, Brach Machine and Design was founded. The company specialized in tool design and custom machine work, focusing on the die casting industry.

The company incorporated under the name Brach Machine, Inc. in 1993 and occupied a 15,000 square foot facility in Batavia, NY until Nancy and Bill Brach decided to retire and sold the business in November 2022. The “Inc.” was removed from the company’s name at that time, and the company moved to Rochester, NY in April 2023. Brach Machine remains dedicated to serving the die casting industry by refurbishing goosenecks and producing a wide variety of shot-end components for zinc and aluminum die casting machines. It also offers custom machining including the replication of obsolete machine parts, prototypes, small run production of parts, and gun drilling for a variety of industries.
